Back in California

Hi all, sorry for the late email. I got back safely into the US on Sunday afternoon. My friend, April, picked me up at LAX, and it was good to see a familiar face, especially one who has been to SA before. It was really hard to leave. I had already started crying on night 2 about having to leave after 3 weeks. =) It just wasn't enough time.

I had an amazing time. The first 2 weeks included the team and was filled with activities, and then we saw them off at the airport on the 21st and I stayed on for some personal time there to serve and to spend quality time with friends.

I'll be posting on our activities that we did with pictures included. For those that donated items, I'll include pictures of the recipients of all those wonderful gifts. Everyone was very appreciative and overwhelmed by your generosity.

This trip was a very emotional one for me and was filled with many very highs and very lows. Many lessons have been and will be learned -- I'm still processing so many sights and events. Re-entry was easy this time, but being separated from "my people" there has been really hard.

Thank you again for your support. Looking forward to formulating blog posts and sharing with you over the upcoming days.

Much love,
Danielle
